Reflexology is a holistic healing art which falls into the realm of complimentary health practices. The object of holistic treatment is to induce a state of balance and harmony throughout the entire organism. The aim is to mobilize the body's own healing powers to restore the organism to a state of equilibrium.
The holistic approach to health, recognizes that for humans to experience well-being and optimum health, they need to have an integrated relationship between body, mind and spirit.
